Mutually beneficial business alliances in our various segments with major Indian and international mega players - Continental AG of Germany and Mercurio from Mexico being prominent among them - has given us a significant competitive leg up.
Our strong and close alliance with Continental AG, Germany’s ace tyre manufacturing brand in 1999 has helped us augment our technologies and capabilities. Anchored in technology transfers and high production values, the alliance has helped us enhance the quality of our products in the domestic market and opened the gateways of world trade for us.
Our agreement with Continental works along four key aspects. Bicycle tyres and tubes off take agreement with Continental AG for export to Europe and the Americas under Continental brand name, Technical Collaboration with Continental AG for motorcycle and scooter tyres under Continental Metro brand name in India; outsourcing agreement with Continental AG for motorcycle tyres and tubes under Continental brand name for their global requirements; and outsourcing agreement with Continental AG for automobile tubes under Continental brand name for their global requirements.
